Skirting the city limits can be a lonely endeavor. After all, it marks the end of creature comforts, herd mentality, and predictable outcomes. But it also marks the beginning of your own trailblazing path into the unknown. And on that path, while you're paving a lane for others to follow on your heels, it sure helps to have someone by your side. After all, two is better than one.

Alejandro and Vicente Perez are twin brothers who took their love of art out of the classroom and into a studio where they’ve built a following through their unconventional still life subject matter. Growing up in South Gate California right outside LA, the duo got into drawing at an early age, just as their family introduced them to the rich lowrider car culture in the area. Balancing sketch books and hydraulic kits all the way through highschool, it wasn’t until they set out to college to study fine art did things start to fall into place - but not how you'd think.

Although honing their technical skills to level up their game, they found school to be more constricting than they expected, leading to work done out of necessity rather than passion. After graduating, with a firm understanding of what they didn’t want to do, they set out on their own and began producing work they loved: lowrider-centric slice-of-life drawings and paintings through their uniquely insular point of view. What followed has been a strong reception from family and friends, the SoCal car shows community, all the way up to galleries and collectors who can’t help but be transfixed with the pair who don’t just collaborate on each canvas together but go out and shoot photography at car events to inspire their next work.

It is this story and the brothers' unwavering sense of artistic direction that put them on our map as we developed our upcoming “City Limits” collaboration with Todd Snyder. Inspired by the longstanding tradition of hunting and work clothing in New England but put through the updated lens of modern cuts and styling, the collection is a breath of fresh air in clothing form. Balancing knits and corduroy with HBT cotton, this wall of autumnal force is set to a laid back earth palette spanning olive green to glacial blue ready to inspire that next adventure - away from the noise, smog, and constant distractions that we get caught up in, in day-to-day life.

For the Perez brothers, this meant gearing up to head to the garage and studio around the block before resetting at the very edge of the metropolis they call home, cars obviously in tow at every stage.

With the design queues to keep you fresh in perpetuity , backed by hard wearing fabrication to last a lifetime, whether your limit is geographic, literal, or figurative, our collection will help you pass the threshold with ease.
