Puma has teamed up with the Black Fives Foundation as a way to amplify their mission of researching, preserving, teaching and honoring the pre-NBA history of African Americans in basketball known as the Black Fives Era. With retro-styled sneakers and apparel, Puma utilizes authentic logos, natural dyes, and soft, comfortable materials as they rally around the foundation's trademark slogan, "Make History Now."

Its exploits on basketball courts from famous arenas to neighborhood asphalt are a major contribution to the Suede's all-time icon status, making it an ideal canvas for the Black Fives project. Here, the classic suede upper sports a bold sapphire shade, with contrasting gold at the tongue and heel counters. The familiar Formstrip is outfitted in varsity jacket inspired Chenille, with the foundation's "Make History Now" slogan appearing on the midsole.
