In the eternal struggle between unpredictable weather and getting a fit off, we found that the eye of the storm has 3 sets of eyelets and doesn’t tread lightly.
With our latest endeavor, we’ve ventured into the rugged terrains of Maine, uniting with the footwear artisans at Easymoc to craft the Bodega 3-Eye Chukka Boot, a collaboration that resonates with both our histories, growing up in New England’s …unique climate.
Easymoc represents a marriage between the time-tested skills of their craftsmen–some of whom boast 60+ years of hand-sewing experience–and their deep-rooted commitment to sourcing the best materials possible. Their signature Easymoc last, an adaptation from the time-honored hand-sewn footwear lasts of the 1970s, offers versatility that's perfect for both loafers and boots while accommodating comfort, durability, and water resistance thanks to its triple vamp construction.
Picking up where their cabin-classics left off, we added some ‘downtown’ to the ‘downriver’ aesthetic. Our Chukka’s Chromexcel leather, sourced from Chicago's historic Horween Tannery, renowned for its durability and unique aging characteristics, is paired with the Vibram Montagna lug sole, molded a stone's-throw-away in North Brookfield, Massachusetts. With its distinct ankle height, our footwear endeavor epitomizes the perfect 'do-all' boot, sure to mold and age beautifully with every step you take. Featured in a Deep Blue and supported by tan shades, not only do we bring a new meaning to the phrase ‘ earth-tones’, we set up the perfect compliment to a certain heritage wear collection we have coming out.
Looking within, the boots incorporate lining from Sunderland Tannery in New York, paired with midsoles of vegetable-tanned leather from Wickett and Craig in Pennsylvania. Tying things up, sustainability stands front and center via OrthoLite® Hybrid™ footbeds designed to lessen our ecological footprint.
In a world swamped with fleeting fashion trends, the Bodega x Easymoc collaboration is providing the enduring style and uncompromising quality you need to break free whether on the Green Line or off the grid.
