XA-ALPINE MID ADVANCED
Salomon's roots in outdoor sports go all the way back to 1947, when the fledgling company adapted their metalworking equipment to make edges and binding for skis. Salomon's interest in adventure sports expanded into areas like snowboarding, climbing, and hiking. In 2001, Salomon introduced their first trail running shoe, kickstarting the brand's current status as a preeminent name in trail running performance footwear.
The original XA-Alpine was built for high altitude Alpine running, and the result of hybridization between trail running and Nordic skiing. The XA-Alpine combines at its core a trail ready sneaker which is covered by a gaiter sourced from Salomon's winter sports equipment. The mid version offers a lo-fi take on one of Salomon's most forward footwear styles.
