As the bright and cheery, operators are standing by call now, volume and hold mousse 1980s gave way to the flannel flying, greasy haired disaffection of the alternative ‘90s, the tennis club and the aerobics studio were no longer the places to be. Who better to put their own spin on this ‘90s cult favorite than alternative revivalist experts, Pleasures? The aggressive tread sole pattern that gives the Beatnik its signature look it outfitted with a black, suede upper, adorned with an embroidered spider web graphic. The embroidered arachnid motif continues onto the heel strap, with a smaller spider, while the front Velcro strap declares ‘Pleasures’ in gothic script. Life is pain and suffering enough, you can at least let your feet feel good.
