x NOAH SL20
It’s common knowledge that for any physical activity you can think of, there has been a specialty adidas shoe to go along with it. That holds true, even if you’re leaving dry land, as anyone who has ever worn a pair of adidas sailing shoes can attest to.
The latest from adidas Consortium heads back out onto the water, Long Island to be specific, in a collaborative effort with streetwear cognoscenti favorites NOAH, with a collection of footwear, apparel and accessories that blends the versatile, understated preppy influence of NOAH, the classic sportswear style of adidas and an environmentally conscious take on modern innovation, in the form of Primeblue, a high performance recycled material developed with Parley Ocean Plastic.
The collection’s classic component features classic colorways of the SL72, a long time favorite, all-around training silhouette introduced for the 1972 Munich Olympics, constructed from 82% recycled Prime Blue knitted uppers. The SL72 is joined by a French terry crewneck sweat, graphic tee and shorts, all made with 30% recycled materials, and featuring adidas trefoil branding and a NOAH seashell logo. This old school sportswear is rounded out with a seashell branded shoulder bag and co-branded socks.
The modern portion of the collection is centered around the modern reimagining of the SL silhouette, the SL20, which applies the 82% Primeblue knitted upper to contemporary running performance technology. The SL20 is accompanied by a selection of 100% recycled polyester running basics: jacket, short and cap.
