Engineered Garments show off their unique talent for crafting pieces that simultaneously timeless and ahead of the curve, with a new collaborative project for Hoka One One. After imbuing a rugged hiking silhouette with minimalist chic with their take on the Tor Ultra in late 2018, Engineered Garments set their sights on one of the original Hoka One One models, the Bondi B.
When Hoka One One burst onto the running scene in 2011, the Bondi B led the charge as the first maximalist cushioned road running offering from the nascent brand. With running shoe design in the grip of minimalist, natural motion mania, the ultra cushioned offerings made for some head turning reactions.
Engineered Garments capture the trail blazing spirit and the underestimated fashion applications of the Bondi B with a three-colorway pack. The performance elements of the Bondi B: mesh uppers with leather accenting, lightweight EVA cushioning, stabilizing Meta-Rocker technology and Active Foot Frame, are outfitted in tonal black, tonal white, and a vibrant multi colored design, respectively. The tonal offerings, as they did for the Tor Ultra, bring a streamlined, sleek aesthetic to the maximalist construction, while the asymmetrical boldness of the multi colored variant is a fashion forward interpretation of the shoe’s ability to defy conventional wisdom.
