The state of the world over the past year-plus has upended everything from mundane daily routines to the very conceptions of what ‘normal’ looks like. Engineered Garments have not been exempted from this disruption, as some of their defining features: meticulous tailoring and tactical inspired functionality for the on-the-go world traveler, have been hamstrung by the necessity of staying home.

This G9 jacket was created in collaboration with Engineered Garment, combining Baracuta’s archive with the technical design of Daiki Suzuki’s garments. The jacket has kept many of the distinctive details of the iconic G9 and stands out for the lack of the Fraser tartan lining and a few details, such as the shape of the pockets which look like those from the 1960s. The garment has been made from nylon and comes in two patterns, blackwatch and micro-gingham, for a sophisticated look that is in keeping with Baracuta’s distinctive style.
