After nearly a year of build up since the initial teasers, the release of the much-anticipated collaboration between adidas and Sean Wotherspoon is finally here.

The words ‘worth the wait’ come immediately to mind, as the high tech icon of the 1980s, the legendary ZX 8000, is reimagined as an improvisational, yet painstakingly crafted, patchwork masterpiece. This time in kids sizes, a mixed-material upper sports different colors, textures, and patterns, along with embroidered floral graphics but this time omitting intentionally dangling threads. The mix and match approach is continued with the replacement of the standard tongue with the signature ribbed textured version borrowed from the iconic adidas Samba.

The SUPEREARTH name represents the incorporation of sustainable materials in the shoe’s construction, with SUPEREARTH logos appearing at the tongue, heel and insoles.
