Designer Gary Aspden continues to reintroduce and reinvent the classics of the casual era, with the adidas SPZL range. While the epicenter of the casual movement may have been northern English locales like Liverpool and Manchester, these trendsetting fans were, themselves, inspired by the continental fashions spied on European away trips.
During the 1980s, drawing a German side in European competition, Hamburg, Koln, Kaiserslautern, Leverkusen, it didn’t matter, was a daunting prospect. The latest footwear silhouette from the SPZL range is a happier offering from Germany, and a true hidden gem from the adidas catalog. The adidas Harmony was a part of the original Torsion range. Originally a women’s silhouette the Harmony offered a soft, pastel take on the vivid running shoe palettes of the era. For 2020, the Harmony has been reimagined as the HRMNY, and retooled into a men’s fit, with revamped material construction to boot.
