Whether appearing in the colors of your favorite college basketball program, or serving as the canvas for one of the mythical releases that proved a lot harder to come by in the early millennium days, the Dunk has been essential wear for sneaker obsessives for a long time.
That's because, despite being a relatively simple design by contemporary standards, the Dunk just keeps on finding new ways to stand out.
The latest variation on the Dunk comes in the form of a women's exclusive model, the Dunk Low Disrupt. A mesh upper, leather overlays (with the option of free floating elements,) and an exposed foam tongue offer a lighter, experimental take on the classic form. The unique combination of a streamlined silhouette and exaggerated platform sole borrows from elements of the original Dunk, and a lesser known '80s basketball hi-top, the Air Train.
