it's always a special treat when Taka Hayashi releases a new collection. Arguably the most inventive and experimental of Vault by Vans in-houses designers, Hayashi's seasonal selections usually stick to a theme for inspiration, but each is quite unique, and no two collections are remotely similar. 

Taking on Van's "Style 47," a silhouette also known as "The Creeper," Hayashi turns an old punk/ska-influenced shoe and likens it more to the style of a moccasin. Redoing the style with brown suede uppers, white rubber outsoles and a silver buckle, Hayashi's Vans branding comes debossed on the heel for an additioal accent.
