SENECA TEE
SENECA TEE
-
Yeah, yeah, this sounds like a bank that’s committed a whole bunch of financial crimes, like the baddest boys on Wall Street, but it’s actually the design side of DTF Post, a newsletter about the things we shouldn’t let slide in politics, environment, tech, race relations and finance. Whoever said you can’t wear your bleeding heart on your sleeve?
The inspiration for Seneca tees and sweats came from Seneca Village, a predominantly African-American community on the upper west side of Manhattan that got demolished for the development of Central Park.
We envisioned a new luxury residential complex called “the Seneca Towers” occupying the same prime Manhattan real estate that the city took away from its original residents and for the architect of the project, put in charge Albro Lyons III – the imaginary descendant of Albro Lyons Sr., the African-American community leader of Seneca Village.
