PENULTIMATE ALUMINUM CANDLE

A BETTER FEELING, created in 2018 by Cairo-born artist Xander Ghost, makes products that aim for something so out of the ordinary, fresh, sustainably focused, functional and innovative that they uplift the spirits. You get eyewear that has a truly futuristic design approach — shades that look like what the protagonist from a sci-fi novel set 100 years in the future would actually wear. The candles don’t just smell wonderful but are luxuriously packaged with and unmistakably unique.  Be it through forward-thinking eyewear or candles that look like they belong behind a rope in a museum, A Better Feeling is here to give you… well, just that — a better feeling.

Encased in a solid aluminum two-part vessel, the PENULTIMATE candle is a vegetable wax candle engineered and developed at our atelier in Grasse, France. 

With notes of amber, pepper, resin, bark, and smoke PENULTIMATE is sultry beams of light peer in through the crevice of a dimly lit ravine. A single towering tree stands surrounded by red sandstone walls that have been coated in charcoal and ash; remains from a recent fire. Sappy wounds ooze resin through broken tree bark, filling the air with a deep sweetness. Sharp footsteps echo from the end of the deep corridors to reveal nothing but shadows.
