The Sid is something of a departure from the standard Vans look. Although it retains a simple construction of canvas upper, suede overlay and vulcanized sole, the silhouette itself is court inspired rather than the signature Vans deck shoe style. Featuring an alternate Vans logo and a chunkier midsole, the Sid makes for a surprise but not unwelcome excursion into the early/mid '90s.
A leopard print design brings a touch of classic punk inspiration to the thoroughly '90s spirit of the Sid, kind of like Rancid.
