Rewind to 1976. New Balance introduces the 320, a nylon/suede running shoe in the archetypal wedge shaped, lightweight '70s style. The 320 marked two pivotal moments in New Balance history. It featured the first use of the iconic 'N' branding, and, after being voted the number 1 running shoe on the market by Runner's World magazine, the 320 established New Balance's reputation as the brand for serious runners. 

New Balance's 327 silhouette is a contemporary aesthetic update of the 320's classic '70s style. The nylon with suede overlays upper features a bolder arrangement, with the 'N' logo receiving particular attention, in the form of exaggerated proportions. The heel wraparound herringbone gum rubber sole of the original 320 takes on a rugged quality, with a switch to a tread pattern. 

The new Primary pack lives up to the 327's old-school running lineage, and its modern sense of surprise. A three-pack offering outfits the 327 in each of the primary colors. The shoe's mesh upper and oversized 'N' branding are white across all three styles, while the suede overlays, 'N' outline, and tongue logos are rendered in red, yellow, and blue, respectively.
