MONOCLE HINOKI CANDLE
High-fashion houses having their own line of signature fragrances is a long standing practice, but when it comes to Comme des Garçons, did anyone really expect them to bottle some milquetoast, light floral scents and call it a day?
Since 1994, Comme des Garçons Parfums, under the direction of Christian Astuguevieille, has produced scents imbued with the label's avant garde spirit, from the unexpected to the downright confrontational "socially incorrect, anti-perfumes."
The inspiration for this scented candle from Comme des Garçons and Monocle comes from a perfectly still, slightly chilly spring morning spent soaking in a tub at the Tawaraya in Kyoto. It pulls together their memory of the mosses and trees outdoors and sharp notes of the boxy, hinoki tub.
Cypress, Terebenthine, Campher, Cedar, Thyme, Pine, Georgywood, Encens, Treemoss, Vetiver.
The candle contains a high concentrate of fragrance and is created from the finest waxes.
