Generally, New Balance running shoes don’t require an overly elaborate introduction. As performance shoes, they were highly regarded equipment for serious runners. Their sterling reputation gave the classic silhouettes from the New Balance archive a new life in the casual/fashion world.

While the 990 has seen various iterations over time, the "V3" arrived in 2012 to commemorate the silhouette's 30 anniversary. Pigskin paneling joins a predominantly mesh upper changing the silhouette’s entire look.

The M990PL3 features red and black pig suede, red mesh, a white and grey EVA foam midsole, ENCAP cushioning and "Made in USA" printed on the back.
