The term Abstract Jazz, can't help but feel difficult and niche; until now, that is. That's because Saucony's version of abstract jazz has nothing to do with gathering in smoky clubs to listen to the sounds of a saxophone being thrown down the stairwell of a tall building. Instead, the venerable running shoe brand has reinterpreted its iconic Jazz silhouette, with experimental modernism firmly in mind.
The Jazz DST updates the classic nylon/suede construction with hybrid, double eye and bungee lacing, a remodeled sole, and prominent branding. A yellow upper with blue detailing design provides a familiar, yet vivid starting point, with medial and lateral mismatched Saucony branding and a dot patterned tongue design stylishly emphasizing these physical alterations.
