Los Angeles based Bueno underscore their efforts with the tagline it means good. But there's more at play than simple translation. Good is at the heart of every Bueno piece, from quality of construction to the celebration and sharing of the creators' Hispanic culture. Bueno, it means good, isn't just a name, it's a way of being.
Frustrated by the lack of political and economic freedom, and by the continuing repression on the island. Puerto Rico's pro-independence movement staged an armed rebellion known as the Grito de Lares (1868) - also referred to as the Lares Revolution. This was the first major revolt against Spanish rule in Puerto Rico. The revolt was planned by Ramon Emeterio Betances and Segundo Ruiz Belvis. All slaves who had joined the uprising were declared free citizens. With this graphic, we pay our respects to this movement.
