HIL TRIBE M65 CARGO PANTS
HIL TRIBE M65 CARGO PANTS
-
The brainchild of designer Hardy Blechman, Maharishi has produced its award winning pacifist military designs since 1994. The roots of Maharishi, and offshoot label MHI, lay in Blechman’s former career in the military surplus clothing trade, which inspired Blechman to take the concept of repurposing to a new level.
The Vietnam war issued M65 cargo pant has been reconstructed in a striped kilim powerloom cotton; inspired by the fabrics worn by native hill tribes. The AW20 MAHA corps collection explores the forced conscription of indigenous and tribal people, and the modification and customisation of military uniforms.
Colourful Kilim Stripe Cotton Powerloom is inspired by vintage Kilim hand- woven rugs and Peruvian striped textiles.
