Maison Kitsune reunites with Puma for their second collaboration of the year. The multi-faceted, trans-world brand with roots in music and fashion (and coffee) bring their East meets West design sensibilities to a capsule collection of apparel and footwear centered around the Puma Crepe and the Mirage.
Taking on one of Puma’s most storied silhouettes, Kitsune brings it’s crisp clean designs to the Mirage. As futuristic as it is retro, the Mirage has undergone several incarnations over the course of its life as it evolved from a lightweight track and field shoe and jogging trainer to a fashionable, future-forward street sneaker.
Kitsune starts with a blue and beige colorway, using a mesh and textile upper accented with suede and leather overlays. With a high boot cut, sockliner and rubber mudguards, Kitsune's Mirage is casual, classic and modern all at once. Cobranding appears written on the insole with as Kitsune's fox branding is also seen walking across Puma type both on the tongue and again on the heel window.
The Mirage Sport collection from Maison Kitsuné, a Paris-meets-Tokyo brand founded by Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, comes alive with roots rich in fashion, music and coffee. Staying true to a clean aesthetic, these sneakers mix a classic and futro silhouette for a stylish mono look.
