Celebrating ellesse’s 65th year in business, the LSR Trainer is marking a new chapter in the Italian company's performance-driven legacy.
And what better way to welcome it into the lineup than with some pickleball? Last Friday from 6 PM to 10 PM we hosted a pickleball tournament with our friends at ellesse in Santa Monica full of food, drinks, prizes, and of course that beautiful sound of plastic on plastic.
Between racket hits and bites of Prince Street Pizza, competition, comradery, and community were on full display as well as the new LSR sneaker itself. Crafted from a full-grain suede, PU mesh, and featuring laser debossed lines and a non-slip rubber sole, the sneaker speaks directly to ellesse founder Leonardo Servadio’s dedication to craftsmanship.
Like any good doubles partner, the LSR was supported by an apparel collection to complete the heritage look, all of which provided the perfect backdrop for drop-shots, volleys, and lobs. And as the crowds drew larger with each elimination, the games got more intense until at last, there was just one team left standing - shout out Kaitlin and Nico. And with free ellesse sneakers for the champs, hoodies & sweats for the runner-ups, and ellesse shirts and Bodega merch for the other challenges it's safe to say everyone left a winner.
