On tour in a new climate, we saw the 2.0 Clog come into its own during a day of horseback riding, river rafting, and blueberry smuggling at an undisclosed location way off the beaten path.

In the pursuit of gnarlier adventuring, the power of a curve ball should not be discounted. When we first embarked on our Nict-Tech journey with Crocs, the clog we built may have been unconventional, with its retractable hood and pouch, inspired by the secondary eyelid of the crocodile, but the arena it was typecast to thrive in was straight out of a New England textbook. Thick woods, damp forest floors, mossy growth. Your go-to on your next excursion upstate.

So, when it came time to revisit the project, our first thought was 'how can we parlay this collab into a vacatio' - I mean 'how can we push the limits of the Nict-Tech Clog and break new ground on a path yet to be explored?' Not just through design, construction, and color palette. But how and where it's worn. After all, the term 'all-terrain' isn't just some marketing ploy, it's an indication of ability.

And when envisioning a place where we could flex said performance potential while maintaining an utterly unexpected presence, we figured having them strapped into the spurs of a horse traversing big sky country wasn't a bad place to start.

On tour in a new climate, we saw the 2.0 Clog come into its own during a day of horseback riding, river rafting, and blueberry smuggling at an undisclosed location way off the beaten path. Stability in the saddle thanks to 'Sport Mode'. Traction control on the rocky topography à la lugged outsoles. Dirt, debris, and water protection thanks to our ripstop hood. The storage pouch it creates in its wake for bite-sized essentials. And of course, a newly minted adjustable sling to make storage convenient when you need to un-clog.

After all, as much as we're trying to prove the Nict-Tech Clog to be a trusty stead up for any rigorous expedition, they will never be out of place just kicking back and relaxing. It's practically in their Croslite-laden DNA. Whether there is a hot spring nearby to help you unwind is a different story, one entirely dependent on your next journey. Of which needs no destination.
