Editorial: Bodega Spring/Summer Delivery 1

The introduction to the Bodega Spring/Summer ’19 collection mentioned the inconsistent spring weather. Even over the course of a single day, conditions can fluctuate to the point of making it impossible to plan activities or even get dressed in the morning. (There’s a good chance that whatever jacket you brought, will be rendered too much or too little by the time the workday ends.) You’ll never get into playing shape if you pack it in for the day because of the weather.

Delivery 1 takes you from spring training to mid-season, with gear for on and off the field.

Visual motifs range from the classic, athletic, block letter “property of” look to a modern leisurewear, sans-serif typeface. Being prepared for the weather takes on a very literal meaning with a packable anorak that goes from protection against sudden showers, to a convenient bag. Scouts would call that a multi-tool player. Hoodies and track pants keep you warmed up and loose against those chilly, early season nights, while shorts, one casual and one sweat, are ready for those days that are practically a sneak preview of summer. The on/off field theme continues with a baseball jersey and sport rugby shirt, and unstructured caps. Finally, get all those sportswriters and pundits speculating about your “outrageous” sense of style with a selection of graphic tees and a skate deck.
