In New England, the special quality that attracts hordes of visitors, and inspires equal parts affection and ambivalence amongst longtime residents is Autumn.

Don’t get us wrong, New Englanders do genuinely love the fall, it’s just that between avoiding the columns of out of state rental moving vans on Storrow Drive, freshmen who have yet to solve the ancient mystery of how to board and disembark subway cars, leaf gawkers, and far past graduation age Hogwarts students who don’t seem to realize that the entire city of Salem isn’t packed away for the year on November 1st, even the most enthusiastic autumn loving New Englanders are tempted to just fast forward to winter already.

It’s not an intentionally cynical or pessimistic state of mind; it’s just an innate ability to adapt to their surroundings possessed by human beings. In the end though, intentional or not, we’re all taking a few things for granted. If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that taking things for granted is not good policy, because everything really can change overnight.

There’s a reason, though, why every small town, village, and hamlet from Newport to Presque Isle is filled with out of town vehicles trying to park on main streets designed to accommodate horse and buggies. The sights of Autumn in New England really are unforgettable, and worth going out of your way to see.

In this spirit of renewed appreciation, the Bodega Autumn/Winter 2020 collection jumps headfirst into classic, New England fall style. The collection’s cut and sew pieces, featuring staples like fleece, heavy cotton, flannel and corduroy, offer the visual and functional versatility that covers the full range of seasonal activities, from picking up Dunkins every morning and bagging leaves, to foliage viewing, apple picking day long drives. The season’s graphic sportswear essentials bring this multi-environment sensibility to the most basic aspects of your everyday routine, whether you are taking in the fall colors from your window, or stepping outside for fresh air in the middle of the day.

Just remember, like the colors of peak foliage and pumpkin spice flavors, the season is always over too soon.
