In the blink of a nictitating membrane - and after some much-needed time in the creative incubator, we've hatched a follow-up to last year's NICT-TECH All-Terrain Clog with Crocs.
Packed with foundational details that made the first version unique to our partnership, the 2.0 is all about the innovations needed to ensure our clogs are all bark and all bite.
Since proving we could hang in the damp, moss-laden landscape of our first adventure, we opted for a dryer climate to show dry heat doesn't phase us. Sure the all-over tree bark camo could use some water but it won't flake on you, promise. Complimented by tonal hues throughout and accented with a little purple disruption, this colorway just felt like a natural progression.
Checking back into Cloud 9, the fully molded Croslite foam upper is what dreams are made of and proved to be one area where improvement was impossible. Once again keeping our ankles from rolling into oblivion are the turbo heel straps fitted with custom-branded velcro strips for maximum adhesion. Supported by a lug outsole for tread assist and those instantly recognizable ventilation ports for breathability and drainage, the AT Clog might seem like a casual slip-on at first but when you get under the hood, you'll see we take all-terrain clogging very, very seriously.
Originally inspired by the 2nd eyelid that crocodiles use to keep dust and debris out their eyes, you'd have to have a few loose Jibbitz to think our NICT-TECH packable pouch wouldn't be returning for round 2. Constructed out of galivanting-grade ripstop and complete with a silicone molded oval Bodega logo, our improved two-part system consists of a fanny pack for your feet with an ice blue trail cord pull giving you more room for all your hoarder-coded trinkets and of course, the roll-out hood to keep your toes 'inside the vehicle at all times' - in any environment.
Beginning descent with an adjustable bungee to dial in the fit, an improved toe anchor to keep the main sail in place, and loop buckle straps, our 2.0 Clog is closed out with a first-of-its-kind carrying strap - because one invention just wasn't enough. Whether you want to hang them off a backpack, your overlander, or your shoulder blade, not only will they be ready for AT-action at a moment's notice, they're GORP eye candy in the meantime.
