The Bodega x Asics GEL-MAI 'Underground' is a techy, performance model that deliberately suggests the dynamism of human movement, and the skeletal structure as the foundation of this physical vitality. The collaboration represents a deep material study, with use of ostrich, nubuck, suede and pebbled leathers that are broken up by the stark striped mesh and tangerine nylon webbing. Furthermore the model employs a lavender jewel heel branding hit, speckled soles, and translucent ice outsole that reveals the anatomical make-up of the human foot. Each pair will include custom branded Bodega x Asics packaging and three lace options (tangerine, white, + lavender).
Accompanying apparel components include a blacked out made in USA fleece sweatsuit with tonal 3M prints that when hit with light reveals the human skeleton. Additionally, Bodega branded hoodies, longsleeves, and shortsleeves work to round out the project.
