x Norse Projects TORSION TRDC
The Adidas Torsion system may have come into the world as part of the classic ZX range, but the innovative technology goes far beyond retro stylings, because Torsion never stopped being a regular feature of the brand’s latest performance offerings.
The latest stop on the Torsion 30th anniversary tour is the turn of the millennium, with a stopover in Denmark, which is to say that renowned menswear label, and long running Adidas collaborative partner Norse Projects, present their distinctive take on the Torsion TRDC, a contemporary update of the Trediac runner. A trail running silhouette with a futurism tinged design, the TRDC features a mesh upper with synthetic overlays, an aggressive, tread outsole pattern, EVA midsole with Adiprene heel unit, and naturally, the Torsion bar. The original Trediac was designed to withstand winter weather conditions; Norse Projects add another northern touch, with their elegantly stark Scandinavian design sensibility, featuring a grey and white based palette with slight hints of fluorescent green.
