The latest release from the Adidas Consortium range sees the brand with the three stripes rekindle its relationship with Tokyo boutique Mita. The “Coordinates and Cages” pack imbues two silhouettes, the timeless, iconic Stan Smith, and the state of the art NMD TS1 PKI with a utilitarian sleekness inspired by the ultra modern vibe of contemporary Tokyo.
The pull tab lacing variation of the NMD is outfitted with a black Primeknit upper, Boost sole, blue and green EVA plugs, and a wire cage graphic print that represents the distinctive cages that Mita employs to display their footwear, while the heel tabs display geographic coordinates for Tokyo and Herzogenaurach, Germany.
The Stan Smith has a basic black leather and white sole base, augmented by an ankle to toe side zipper, and subtle text branding.
