Usually, Danish modern design isn’t all that difficult to come by; it’s one of the most popular international styles after all. But, one particular expression of the famously functional design philosophy recently proved elusive. Namely, the collaborative project between Danish design company HAY. The limited edition take on Suicoke’s DEPA sandal was, originally, only available at HAY’s Copenhagen flagship store. While the availability was limited, the collaboration of these two masters of simplicity of form and maximization of function drew covetous glances from fashion forward enthusiasts all over the world.
Now, the colorful renditions of DEPA’s simple, nylon and neoprene strapped upper design have made available to the international public. In keeping with the simplicity of design, we think that’s enough said.
