The championship doubles pairing that is New Balance and Casablanca have been running their proverbial opponents ragged, all over the court with a series of collaborative releases combining a sporty elegance inspired by Casablanca head Charaf Tajer's love of tennis, with the sleek, retro running heritage of the 327 and 237 silhouettes.
Like the 327, the 237 is a revamped take on ‘70s running style, featuring a wedge shaped silhouette and foam midsole cushioning. The key differences come in the form of the overlay, outsole, and ‘N’ branding. On the 237, the overlays offer a more subdued, familiar appearance, while the wraparound treads of the 327 are traded for a subtler, herringbone design that extends just past the heel. The 237 retains the same outsize ‘N’ branding as the 327, but applies it to both the lateral and medial sides.
New Balance and Casablanca have served up two more perfectly placed shots. The tennis club chic of premium quality, perorated white leather uppers is paired with Casablanca's signature jacquard pattern, offered in a new, deep red and dark green colorway that elegantly hints at perfectly maintained grass and clay courts.
