x Ader Error TRAILFOX OVERLAND
Puma's futro range reimagines, then remakes silhouettes from the brand's expansive historical archives. It's more than retro; it's an evolution, meant to bring these past favorites into a contemporary context. With the current vogue for aggressively designed functionality in mind, Puma have pulled the Trailfox, an early 2000's, all-terrain running shoe, from a recent, but lesser known wing of the archives.
Already a striking figure, on the strength of its tooth grip EVA outsole and heavily cushioned midsole, the silhouette goes for an extra layer of cutting edge style, as part of a collaborative design. Seoul based fashion collective Ader Error demonstrate the aesthetic alchemy that defines their label, simultaneously everyday wearable, and conceptually playful, with their own take on the Trailfox Overland. A black dominated nylon upper shows off the rugged, harsh conditions roots of the silhouette, while the use of suede at the overlays and mudguard is a more relaxed touch.
