The original Pegasus, the divine winged horse of the hero Bellerophon, symbol of wisdom and fame, is probably a tad too majestic to be called a workhorse. But the Nike running shoe, named after this famous creature, is definitely fair game for the workhorse tag.
First introduced back in 1983, the Pegasus has been through thirty-five years worth of technological evolution. From old-school nylon and suede to the latest lightweight knit uppers, there’s a Pegasus to suit everyone’s needs. The new P-6000 CNCPT silhouette sets its coordinates to the mid 2000s, to revisit that era’s performance designs, as contemporary fashion.
Inspired by the Pegasus 25 and Pegasus 2006, the P-6000 features a breathable mesh upper with horizontally and vertically oriented leather/synthetic overlays, for a multilayered, overtly technical running aesthetic.
