UPCYCLED M59 FIELD KIMONO
UPCYCLED M59 FIELD KIMONO

The brainchild of designer Hardy Blechman, Maharishi has produced its award-winning pacifist military designs since 1994. The roots of Maharishi, and offshoot label MHI, lay in Blechman’s former career in the military surplus clothing trade, which inspired him to take the concept of repurposing to a new level.
Japanese meets military inspired style with the UPCYCLED M59 FIELD KIMONO. It’s made using upcycled army surplus garments and comes with the tie-waist closure at the front, while at the back, it features two large mil-spec bellow pockets. To complete things, it’s detailed at the front with the two insignia-style patches to complete the quirky utilitarian aesthetic.
