When the Ultraboost debuted in 2015, it was adopted as a fashion forward must have, pretty much immediately. Nevertheless, the shoe is still, before it is anything else, a performance running shoe, which means there is always another step forward to take.
Last year, adidas simplified the basic design of the Ultraboost, scaling back a 17 piece design to just four components, for a streamlined construction that incorporated even more energy returning Boost cushioning. With 2020 just around the corner, adidas have refined the Ultraboost even further. Tailored Fiber Placement technology allows the Ultraboost’s Primeknit upper to be placed with maximum, millimeter level precision, for a reinforced yet flexible fit, taking the revolution of the current decade, into the next one, without ever breaking stride.
The futuristic design is emphasized with an homage to the International Space Station, represented by a co-branded, graphic tongue label, to go along with the high tech, hi-visibility solar red and metallic blue Boost colorway.
