A true three stripes icon, the TRX was originally released in 1978 as a marathon-spec running shoe. The shoe's technological makeup, state of the art for the era, featured an injection molded EVA wedge midsole, cushioning grooves, and a low abrasion studded outsole, along with a nylon and suede overlay upper construction.
The TRX was notably worn by all-time running great Grete Waitz, but the hi-tech style quickly made the TRX one of the most coveted models in the adidas catalogue.
The TRX Vintage resurrects the 1978 design. They look as good as ever, and in 2021, you don't even need to make a special trip to Munich or Brussels to buy a pair.
