Puma’s 1980s RS (Running System) technology was the basis of bona fide classics like the RS-100 and the RS-Computer, which, spoiler alert, came equipped with computer technology. The new, RS-X silhouette is a modern reinterpretation of the RS concept that brings the range’s forward thinking ethos design influences into the contemporary arena.

The latest variant of the RS-X actually heads back to the 80s, but not in the way you might think. The fashionably exaggerated takes on retro design influences like mesh/textile uppers and chunky tech features are presented as a tribute to the toys of the late 80s and early 90s. A palette featuring black accented by vibrant hits of florescent pink, green, blue and yellow recreate the kid-friendly interpretation of the extreme aesthetic that overloaded synapses in toy stores throughout the nation. You’ll ask your parents to buy them for you as a pure reflex, but the good news is, you’re an adult now, and you can buy them yourself.
