RS-0 x POLAROID
In 1986, the original RS-Computer took Puma into the computer age with a revolutionary development. The advanced performance technology of the shoe was equipped with a computer chip, compatible with popular PCs of the era from Apple, IBM, and Commodore. When hooked up to one of these machines, results would be displayed for distance travelled, time elapsed and calories burned.
In 2018 the RS may be without its old-school computer chip, but Puma continues to utilize the sleek silhouette to highlight other forms of historically influential technology. Fresh off the heels of Puma's footwear tribute to the Roland 808-TS drum machine comes a collaborative design celebrating the original instant camera, Polaroid.
The classic shape of the RS-100 employs a mesh/leather upper construction, and a black and white colorway with subtle, Polaroid spectrum co-branding at the tongue and outsole for a decidedly retro feel.
The modern, reinterpretation of the RS, the RS-0 opts for minimalist chic. A tonal, white upper is rendered in premium leather with a contrasting black midsole, while the photography aesthetic is tied together with reflective laces, a spectrum ribbon at the tongue and a shutter button red insoles.
Both silhouettes feature a co-branded Polaroid photo frame style hangtag.
