When you think of footwear innovations since the beginning off time it goes using leather, using rubber, the invention of laces/ straps, and finally... the air max bubble!
So here we are, once again giving it up for that oh so special modern marvel. Now a fixture in footwear, Nike's air bubbles were a ground breaking performance and culture driven innovation that quickly attracted a loyal following and basically changed how people viewed sneakers.
Since 2014, Air Max Day has been celebrated every March 26th, a nod to the first Air Max 1 which released on the day back in '87. This year, its the 35th anniversary of the legendary design and Nike held nothing back, leaving it all on the table to ensure this years tribute is a high note.
