Where Fucking Awesome is self explanatory to the maximum degree, the second skate imprint from FA heads Jason Dill and Anthony Van Engelen is, by comparison, a bit shrouded in mystery. The name Hockey stems from Van Engelen’s assessment of the first two Hockey riders, Donovan Piscopo and John Fitzgerald’s style, brutally skillful.
The edge of aggression suggested by the name Hockey permeates the brand’s visual output, with graphics embodying the raw, unfiltered, sometimes confrontational spirit that built skateboarding.
We don't think it's intentional, but the back graphic featuring someone wearing a Flyers shirt being confused and disturbed by what they are looking at is a perfect metaphor for the 1997 Stanley Cup Finals.
