Originally released in 2006 during New Balance’s centenary celebrations, the 992 introduced a new form of the brand’s patented ABZORB cushioning, ABZORB SBS, which utilized non-cellular elastomer, rather than traditional foam rubber, allowing for peak performance over a longer period of use.
A new, made in the USA variant of the 992 adds a touch of seasonal leisure to shoe's performance qualities, as a pigskin suede upper in tones of blue, and beach sunset pink, mesh underlays are complimented by classic blue and white striped seersucker.
