When New Balance introduced their 1000 series, the range represented the brand's top of the line output in terms performance and comfort. 2019 marks a milestone anniversary for a signature 1000 series model, the M1500. The first silhouette introduced in the series after the original M1300, the M1500 introduced a molded ENCAP midsole and a streamlined take on the signature 'N' branding. An embodiment of the era's bold, overtly technical running shoe design, the M1500 has maintained its status as a favorite among dedicated New Balance fans since its introduction.
The M1530 variation on the 1500 introduces modern performance updates to the 1989 design, like a REVLITE sole unit, for a contemporary hybrid take on the classic silhouette. A new, Made in England release sees the revered Flimby factory produce a model drawn from volcanic inspiration, as pigskin suede and mesh uppers are rendered in tones of grey and black for a geological, ash and rock aesthetic, with hints of red at the side, tongue and heel branding serving as simmering below the surface lava.
