Kapital takes their name from their hometown, the Kojima district of Kurashiki, also known as “the jean capital of Japan.” Originally a sewing and dyeing factory sporting the standard “Capital” spelling, Kapital parlayed the massive reserves of expert craftsmanship into their own label. Launched in 1996, Kapital’s signature denim offerings constitute some of the most sought after work in all of contemporary fashion.
