This 2000s era runner from ASICS was the result of a unique design process in which one designer handled the upper, and another the tooling. Both parties, however, landed on malleable natural shapes as sources of inspiration. 

The upper's layered, leather and synthetic paneling featuring flowing, wavy curves and lines reminiscent of clouds, while the midsole's own sense of flowing curvature takes its cues from the rather malleable physical nature of the humble amoeba. Of course, however unique the inspiration, the comfort and performance of ASICS is as reliable on the GEL-Preleus as ever.
