Maybe it’s the very simple fact that running in the Finnish wilderness, especially during the winter months isn’t an activity liable to attract a lot of trend-hopping dilettantes, but Karhu have always been regarded a true runner’s brand. As such, even their heritage offerings are presented with the brand’s legacy of top of the line athletic performance firmly in mind.
The new, ‘Monthless’ Pack is the latest offering from Karhu to draw inspiration from the natural world, and perhaps the only footwear release ever to reference the pre-Julian reform, Roman calendar. Owing in part to agrarian, early Roman history, the winter was originally considered a monthless period before January and February were added.
A tribute to the hearty spirit and dedication of those who keep moving throughout the cold and snowbound winter months, the Monthless pack outfits classic Karhu silhouettes in cool, seasonal palettes with colorful hints reminiscent of scenes, like winter sunrises, that make the early morning, sub-zero runs worthwhile.
