Today, the Swiss sneaker innovators at On unveil their latest design, the Cloud Hi Edge Defy. While the limited-edition silhouette features the same CloudTec outsole that revolutionized the running world with its soft landings and explosive takeoffs, On’s newest offering takes a casual, off-road design detour, slightly sidestepping from their usual dedicated focus on running shoes.

Inspired more by their Alpine roots and ski boots, On begins by using their Cloud Hi Edge as a design base. Upgrading it with extra padding and a TPU enforced upper, the shoe is then winterized with a lightweight insulation meant to deliver cold-weather comfort all season long. Heavy-duty hiking boot laces are locked in by an embroidered strap while recycled ripstop fabric and vegan suede combine sustainability with durability. Finish it off with bold new colorways and contrasting accents, and you're left with a limited-edition silhouette that's fit for everything from trail trekking to urban exploration.
