CHUCK 70 HI
The Chuck Taylor is inherently versatile. A shoe doesn’t sell millions of pairs over the course of a century by appealing to a limited audience. This black leather version of the hi-top Chuck is a perfect example. What other shoe could conjure up images of high school, varsity basketball jackets from the 1930s and a particularly spirited night at CBGBs at the same time?
The Chuck is definitely timeless, but that doesn't mean it hasn't dressed up in the trappings of a specific era's aesthetic from time to time. A yin yang motif, featuring what was, unquestionably, the most fashionable symbol of cosmic duality of the 1990s, in place of the traditional All-Star logo, and as a graphic print on the laces saves you the trouble of having to draw them on yourself with a ball point pen during study hall.
