The Shadow Project range aims to bring the performance of Stone Island’s traditional offerings to pieces that are more fashion oriented and street ready. Here, the parka silhouette that is such a ubiquitous part of urban winters is rendered in high grade nylon with insulating down lining. Maybe you’re just getting from one bar to the next, and not hiking up a mountain, but cold is cold, no matter where you are.
FABRIC RESEARCH AND TREATMENT
HOLLOWCORE POLY LIGHT, GARMENT DYED_CHAPTER 2: Bomber jacket made in a single-layer woven fabric composed of hollow spun polyester yarns, which makes for a deceptively light all-season insulating material. Stone Island’s profound expertise imbues these hollow yarns with vivid and rich color during the pressurized, high temperature dyeing process. An anti-drop formula is added to the garment dyeing recipe for water repellence. The garment is padded with a PrimaLoft® layer, an exclusive blend of ultra-thin fibers providing exceptional insulation. PrimaLoft® is developed to stay drier even when wet. It delivers the highest warmth-to-weight ratio of all synthetic insulations.
