AIR MAX2 LIGHT
1994's Air Max2 Light is arguably one of the most unjustly overlooked shoes of the era. Despite being chronologically sandwiched around some of the bigger names to come out of the Air Max series, the Air Max2 Light broke significant technological ground.
Compartmentalized air chambers featuring individualized pressurization levels, allowing for supportive and responsive cushioning in the front, and secure stability in back, would later be developed into the Tuned Air system. The Air Max2 Light's forefoot also featured early versions of Tensile Air, the original name for Zoom Air, while a phylon midsole replaced single density foam, giving the shoe it's 'Light' designation.
The dynamic technology of the Air Max2 Light is matched with an aggressive design featuring angular leather overlays that strategically expose a mesh upper. A vivid palette featuring white leather over university gold mesh, with bright red and blue accents, channels the spirit of 1994 as the Air Max2 Light makes its way back into the public eye.
